Full-Stack Software Engineer Intern
Feb — May 2026 · 9 weeks · 486 hrs
4-member intern development team
Overview
During a 9-week, 486-hour full-stack internship at Quanby Solutions, I shipped 15+ end-to-end modules across three production codebases in a TypeScript monorepo using Next.js, NestJS, tRPC, and PostgreSQL.
I engineered a multi-role Clearance Module with approval/rejection workflows and AWS S3 for secure multi-format document uploads. I also migrated five legacy modules in a 6-day sprint — schema design through backend endpoints and full frontend integration.
Additional delivery included government-standard RSMI reporting and a Grades module with hierarchical filtering plus PDF/XLSX export, Framer Motion UX polish platform-wide, and production deployment of all delivered modules still actively used by the company post-internship.
What I did
Concrete contributions I owned on this project:
- Delivered 15+ end-to-end modules across 3 production codebases in a TypeScript monorepo
- Migrated 5 legacy modules into the new system within a 6-day sprint — schema through frontend
- Engineered multi-role Clearance Module with approval/rejection workflows and AWS S3 uploads
- Architected 3NF-normalized PostgreSQL schemas for data integrity and scalability
- Built government-standard reporting and Grades module with hierarchical filtering and PDF/XLSX export
- Deployed all delivered modules to production, actively used by the company post-internship
Challenges
- Tight sprint window for five-module legacy migration
- Multi-role approval flows without leaking document access
- Merge conflict pressure in a concurrent 4-person intern team
