Overview
john.dev is a personal developer portfolio designed to showcase projects, experience, and technical skills — and to give recruiters a more interactive way to explore that content.
I integrated a Gemini-powered AI chatbot capable of answering questions about portfolio content. The chatbot is engineered with system prompts and AI guardrails that restrict responses exclusively to portfolio knowledge, preventing hallucinations and off-topic answers.
Portfolio content is structured into AI-friendly knowledge sources for retrieval and response generation. The interactive chat experience is designed to improve visitor engagement and make the portfolio more accessible to recruiters exploring it asynchronously.
